Radiance Piano of East Texas
I grew up listening to classical music and taking lesson at the church I attended. Playing piano brought a joy to my life that nothing else could compare to. I want my students to experience that joy of playing piano and exploring its world. Through the following objectives I hope to have others come to love and enjoy playing the piano as much as I do.
- Discover the exciting world of ear training, music history, and music theory.
- Have fun with music.
- Develop time management and other life skills.
- To build self-esteem and performance presence.
Lesson Length
Piano lessons are offered at Mundt Music of Tyler or at your home address. Lessons times are 30 minutes and given once weekly. Prices are a flat monthly rate – price each month for lessons will not change regardless of 3 or 5 weeks of lessons.

Lesson Fees
Lessons fees will be due on the first of every month and late by the fifth. Invoices will be sent out 1 week prior.
- A 30 minute lesson is $100 per month.

Book Fee – $35 (If books are needed – this includes lesson, theory, performance book, flash cards and iPad access.)
Missed or Cancelled Lessons
If you need to miss or cancel a lesson please inform me so that a makeup lesson may be rescheduled. Rescheduled lessons are available as my schedule permits (within two weeks) Lessons missed due to inclement weather or illness will receive a makeup (within four weeks). Only four cancelled or missed lessons per semester. No call/no shows will NOT be rescheduled.
I reserve the right to cancel a lesson if a student’s behavior becomes unruly or disrespectful – there will be no makeup lessons for these canceled lessons.

Practice
Practice is essential to learning and must be done daily to excel and get the best benefit from these piano lessons.
Suggested practice times:
- 15 minutes per 30 minute lesson. Every day until next lesson.
Practice ideas:
- Play the song 5 times on 5 different sounds/octaves.
- Play just the left or right hand.
- Play loud then softly.
- Review theory work.
- Review flashcards
Grading Scale
A – Student demonstrates accuracy, fluency, and musicality.
B – Student demonstrates understanding and preparation.
C – Student demonstrates early stages of preparation and understanding.
